A Special Interest Group (SIG) is a community within IIT Mentors, the larger organization, with a shared interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge or learning specific technology. SIG members cooperate to affect or to produce solutions (maybe forming entrepreneurial ventures, creating intra-preneurial groups in corporations, coming up with technical solutions etc) within their particular field, and may communicate, meet, and organize talks, presentations etc.
Normally the SIG is limited to 20 to 25 members with commitment to remain active.
